The veteran animation exec and co-founder of Caribara Montreal is tapped to manage studio’s production pipeline, including ‘Pangors of Puddle Peak,’ ‘Octicorn,’ and ‘Bad Jelly the Witch.’
Canadian animation studio Mercury Filmworks has named former Caribara Montreal and Gaumont executive Guillaume Dubois vice president of production, reporting to Clint Eland, founder and CEO.
With 16+ years’ experience in animation and children’s television, Dubois assumes responsibility for managing current and future productions in the studio’s pipeline, including Pangors of Puddle Peak, Octicorn, and Bad Jelly the Witch. He will work alongside the company’s chief creative officer, Heath Kenny, and vice president, original series and co-production, Chantal Ling.

Most recently, Dubois served as the co-founder and CEO of Caribara Montreal, overseeing operations and business affairs for the Canadian arm of Paris-based animation firm Caribara, that specializes in 2D animation for TV shows and feature films. Projects included Yellow Yeti (Zodiak Kids, Gigglebug, Disney EMEA), Princess Dragon (feature film produced and directed by Ankama), Where Is Anne Frank? (feature film produced and directed by Ari Folman), Blazing Samurai (feature film directed by Rob Minkoff and Mark Koetsier), and Last Man Season 2 (Everybody on Deck, JeSuisBienContent, France Televisions).
Prior to Caribara Montreal, Dubois served as head of production and line producer at TouTenKartoon (2016 to 2018) whose projects included Glitch Techs (Nickelodeon, Netflix); the 3D animated theatrical feature Sgt. Stubby: An American Hero (Fun Academy Studios); Wakfu Season 3 (Ankama, Netflix); and Ollie & Moon Season 1 (Cottonwood Media, Netflix, Sprout, France Televisions). From 2014 to 2016, Dubois served as development head of production at Gaumont, overseeing animated TV series, feature films and transmedia web projects for kids and adults. Dubois started his animation career at Mondo TV in France.
