GKIDS Announces ‘Dan Da Dan’ Season 2 Premiere – in Theaters

New season kicks off with the theatrical premiere of ‘Dan Da Dan: Evil Eye’ in Asia on May 30, North America on June 6, and Europe on June 7; series streams globally in July.

Mainichi Broadcasting System has partnered with ADN, GKIDS, and Muse for Dan Da Dan: Evil Eye, a theatrical premiere of the upcoming Dan Da Dan Season 2. Outside of Japan, the event will debut in cinemas on May 30 in Asia, June 6 in North America, and June 7 in Europe. The series begins streaming worldwide this July, with streaming platform details coming soon.

With production from Science SARU (DEVILMAN crybaby, Scott Pilgrim Takes Off), Season 2 is co-directed by Fuga Yamashiro and Abel Gongora. Composer kensuke ushio (Chainsaw Man, DEVILMAN crybaby) returns to produce the score.

Dan Da Dan: Evil Eye kicks off the eerie “Evil Eye” arc, which began in the last episode of the first season. The theatrical event will screen last season’s start of the arc, along with the first three episodes of the Season 2, in addition to an exclusive interview with the series co-directors.

The sci-fi comedy romance anime series is an adaptation of the manga from Yukinobu Tatsu, which is currently serialized in “Shonen Jump Plus” by SHUEISHA.

Further release details will be announced in collaboration with the theatrical premiere partners in each region.

In addition, Season 1 of the series will be available to own on Blu-ray and in a special Collector’s Edition on June 10, from GKIDS, with distribution by Shout! Studios. Both the Collector's Edition and the standard edition are presented in 2-disc Blu-ray sets; the Collector's Edition is housed in a striking box set that includes a beautifully designed 32-page booklet, art cards, and a die-cut sticker. Season 1 is also available now on digital platforms, including Amazon Prime Video, AppleTV, Google Movies, YouTube Movies, and Fandango At Home.
