Jim Carrey to Star in 'Mr. Popper’s Penguins'

As reported in Deadline Hollywood, 20th Century Fox has landed Jim Carrey to star in the big screen adaption of the classic childrens’ book Mr. Popper’s Penguins.

As reported in Deadline Hollywood, 20th Century Fox has landed Jim Carrey to star in the big screen adaption of the classic childrens’ book Mr. Popper’s Penguins.  Numerous thesps including Jack Black, Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller have rubbed elbows with the project, but now Carrey has officially joined the film, an updated version of the classic tale which will pit him as a successful businessman who inherits and quickly grows fond of 6 tuxedoed creatures despite the troubles that ensue.

John Davis will be producing the film, to be directed by Mark Waters (Mean Girls and Spiderwick Chronicles).
