The ‘House of Gucci’ actor joins Lamorne Morris, Brendan Gleeson, and Nicholas Cage in the upcoming ‘Spider-Man Noir’ comic adaptation, which follows the aging, down on his luck PI in 1930s New York grappling with his past life as a superhero.
Jack Huston (House of Gucci, The Irishman) has joined the cast of Noir, the upcoming live-action series adaptation of the “Spider-Man Noir” comic, in an undisclosed role. Lamorne Morris, Brendan Gleeson, Abraham Popoola, Li Jun Li, and Nicholas Cage also star.
The series follows an aging and down on his luck private investigator (Cage) in 1930s New York, who is forced to grapple with his past life as the city’s one and only superhero.
Emmy Award-winning director Harry Bradbeer (Fleabag, Killing Eve) helms the project as well as executive produces the first two episodes. Oren Uziel (The Lost City, 22 Jump Street) and Steve Lightfoot (Marvel’s The Punisher, Shantaram) will serve as co-showrunners and executive producers.
Uziel and Lightfoot developed the series with Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal, the Academy Award-winning team behind Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The trio will also serve as executive producers. The highly anticipated series will debut domestically on MGM+’s linear channel, then globally on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories.
