HBO Drops Official Trailer for ‘The Penguin’

Upcoming Warner Bros. Television and DC Studios series, which continues Matt Reeves’ ‘The Batman’ epic crime saga with stories focused on Oz Cobb, will debut weekly beginning September 19.

HBO unveiled the official trailer for The Penguin at San Diego Comic-Con this past weekend. Starring Colin Farrell as Oz Cobb (aka “The Penguin”), the eight-episode Warner Bros. Television and DC Studios drama series continues the epic crime saga that began with Matt Reeves and Warner Pictures’ The Batman. 

Farrell stars alongside Cristin Milioti, Rhenzy Feliz, Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Deirdre O’Connell, Clancy Brown, Michael Zegen, Carmen Ejogo, François Chau and David H. Holmes.

Reeves executive produces alongside Dylan Clark, Farrell, and Lauren LeFranc, who writes and serves as showrunner, Craig Zobel, who directs the first three episodes, and Bill Carraro.

Based on characters created for DC by Bob Kane with Bill Finger, The Penguin is produced by Reeves’ 6th & Idaho Productions and Dylan Clark Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, where Reeves and 6th & Idaho are under an overall deal. Daniel Pipski also serves as executive producer.

Studios contributing to the series’ visual effects include Aura FX Studios, Redefine DNEG, and SSVFX.

The Penguin will debut weekly beginning September 19 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO, and will also stream on Max.
