Moonscoop, a French-based cartoon shop, has partnered with Neo Network in Italy to begin production on animated series THE DAVINCIBLES, Variety reports.

The 2-D slapstick cartoon, which targets 7-11 year olds, is set for a late 2010 delivery in France and Australia so far.

Last month, Moonscoop announced a multi-title deal with U.K. terrestrial broadcaster GMTV, which included 200 half-hours from the Moonscoop slate, such as "Fantastic Four," and its new series "Hero:108" and "Chloe's Closet."

"This deal was an important step for us because it was the first time GMTV has inked a volume deal with a non-Hollywood major," said Lionel Marty, prexy of worldwide distribution for Moonscoop.

"The next step for us is to not only sell well but continue to establish strong brands and consumer products, and develop content on multiple platforms."
