A group of 24 European film and audiovisual markets have announced the newly formed Film and Audiovisual Markets in Europe (F.A.M.E) alliance. The group includes organizations that participate in film, television, virtual, or immersive ecosystem, from initial development to securing financing and reaching global audiences.
The 24 signatories seek to unify efforts and address industry challenges while supporting independent creation, diversity in storytelling, and smaller production countries.
“Markets are unique industry hubs that support the entire lifecycle of audiovisual works from their initial development, their research of finance to their future circulation,” the group said in a statement. “They are essential platforms for meetings, exchanges and business transactions between professionals from around the world. They evaluate, host, coach and showcase not less than 3.000 projects and audiovisual works each year.”
