To help promote its upcoming release, Universal Pictures taps creative company DSF to create an animated short film, 47 Ronin: The Samurai Spirit.
For the studio’s marketing campaign for the forthcoming action feature 47 Ronin, starring Keanu Reeves, Universal Pictures tapped creative company DSF to create 47 Ronin: The Samurai Spirit.
The animated short uses what the company calls Hyper Motion Cinema, a “visually rich and engaging storytelling format” designed to feature both branded and original short form content. HMC uses a hybrid of still photography, VFX and animation, with no live action footage or complex CGI required.
