Crunchyroll Drops Trailer, Announces ‘KIZUMONOGATARI -Koyomi Vamp-‘ Theatrical Release

The anime streamer and Sony Pictures Entertainment bring the highly anticipated blood-sucking film into theaters for a special one-day limited run on August 28.

Crunchyroll has announced that tickets for the newly adapted KIZUMONOGATARI -Koyomi Vamp- are now on sale for audiences in the United States and Canada. The film, distributed by Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment, will be released for one-day-only in a few select theaters on August 28.

KIZUMONOGATARI -Koyomi Vamp- is a three-film anime adaptation comprised of edited footage from the trilogy of films of the same name previously released in 2016 and 2017, featuring animation produced by SHAFT. The film will only be available in Japanese with English subtitles.

The film centers on a high school student named Koyomi Araragi, who survives an encounter with a gorgeous yet helpless vampire, Kiss-shot Acerola-orion Heart-under-blade. 

Tatsuya Oishi serves as director and writer, with an original story by NISIOISIN.

The project previously held its North American premiere July 27 at the Fantasia International Film Festival as part of the Animation Plus Section.

Audiences can purchase tickets now at Fandango.
