U.K.-based animation studio installs 100 licenses of 2D production software for its Cardiff studio.
‘Toot the Tiny Tugboat’
London -- U.K.-based Cloth Cat Animation has now become the largest single installation of CelAction2D software, taking 100 licenses for its Cardiff studio.
“CelAction2D is our preferred tool for 2D animation, and this amount of seats allows us to work on multiple series simultaneously,” said Cloth Cat Animation's Jon Rennie. “We can be even more attractive as a co-production partner with our advanced skill base and Welsh Government support, and are also developing and producing our own IP in-house.”

Cloth Cat Animation is currently in production on Toot The Tiny Tugboat with Lupus Films, and has recently finished the series Boj and Llan-ar-goll-en. They are also attached to Wind in the Willows: Mole of Mole End with Martin Gates Productions and Hoho Entertainment.
“We’re also working closely with Cloth Cat Animation’s in-house programming team to integrate CelAction2D with their proprietary production management tools,” Blazdell continued. “With this unique set-up they can out-perform much larger studios in terms of production speed and quality of animation.”
London-based CelAction has been providing animation software solutions to the 2D industry for over 15 years, helping to create massively successful shows such as Peppa Pig, Sarah & Duck and Charlie & Lola.
