Imke Fehrmann returns to run the company after a successful run of global projects.
BERLIN -- Imke Fehrmann is the new CEO and managing director of Hahn Film AG in Berlin, returning to the roots of her professional career in animation.
In the 1990s she worked with company founder and producer Gerhard Hahn on the production of the feature film Asterix in America, as well as on the TV series Benjamin Blümchen and Urmel. She subsequently set up a branch of Hahn Film in Cologne and successfully managed the production of various TV series, including SimsalaGrimm and Renaade.
Since then, she has worked internationally as an executive producer, creative team leader and producer of a variety of animation, VFX and interactive projects for various international companies, most recently Animal Logic, Lucasfilm Animation and Framestore.
"It’s really great to be back in Berlin,” says Fehrmann. “Gerhard Hahn, the creator of the Worry Eaters and Mia and Me and his creative team have an exceptionally good international reputation and Hahn Film is on an expansion course. I am looking forward to developing the necessary strategies and structures to take this successful company to the next level and gladly accept the challenge of implementing Gerhard Hahn's new and exciting ideas and simultaneously directing the business focus on a 360-degree marketing of Hahn Film’s own properties."
