Lord Prods. Llc. and Strategic Dreamers Llc., in conjunction with JC2 Animated Ent., are in production on the CG animated film titled, THE LEGEND OF SECRET PASS, for which a percentage of its proceeds will go to cancer research. The fully funded film is set for release in 2008.
Set in the American southwest, THE LEGEND OF SECRET PASS will follows the magical clash between the animal and human worlds when a young Native American boy must win the help of the Thunderbirds of Native American folklore to overcome a wicked spirit and ancient evil.
Steve Trenbirth, director of JUNGLE BOOK 2 and LADY AND THE TRAMP 2, is helming the film. Hes also overseeing the design/storyboarding team, which is based at his production firm, Mad Cow Studios, in Sydney, Australia. Digital Dimension is handling the computer CG work out of Montreal, Canada. Digital Dimensions Alan Best is serving as an exec producer.
Karl Geurs (THE NEW ADVENTURES OF WINNIE THE POOH) penned the screenplay, based on an original story developed by herpetologist and producer at Strategic Dreams, Erik D. Stoops. Other producers include Mathew D. Boone, James Castello, Larry Garcia and Chris Henderson. David Lords, who is responsible for making Laughlin Ranch into one of the most ecologically sustainable developments in the U.S., serves as an exec producer.

In an effort to make a difference in cancer research, Strategic Dreamers has teamed up with the Virginia G. Piper Cancer Center, which is located in Scottsdale and includes a 69,000-square-foot clinical building, the Diane and Bruce Halle Pavilion and a 35,000-square-foot Research Pavilion. A portion of the proceeds from the movie will be donated to the Jeneal Lasson Boone & Geoffry Dean Lasson Memorial Fund to extend care, cure, hope and healing to all those who are in need.
