Hit sequel to DreamWorks Animation’s 2017 blockbuster, ‘The Boss Baby,’ reunites the now adult Templeton brothers, who uncover the dark secrets of a prestigious grade school while rediscovering the meaning of family; bonus materials include all new ‘Precious Templeton: A Pony TALE’ short.
The sequel to the studio’s 2017’s blockbuster hit, The Boss Baby, which McGrath also directed, The Boss Baby: Family Business reunites the Templeton brothers - Tim (James Marsden, X-Men franchise) and his Boss Baby little bro Ted (Alec Baldwin) – 40 years after the events of the first film. Now adults, they’ve drifted away from each other: Tim is now a married stay-at-home dad, while Ted is a hedge fund CEO. Tim and his wife, Carol (Eva Longoria), the breadwinner of the family, live in the suburbs with their super-smart seven-year-old daughter Tabitha (Ariana Greenblatt, Avengers: Infinity War), and adorable new infant Tina (Amy Sedaris, Netflix’s BoJack Horseman). Tabitha, who’s at the top her class at the prestigious Acorn Center for Advanced Childhood, idolizes her uncle Ted and wants to become like him, but Tim, still in touch with his overactive youthful imagination, worries that she’s working too hard and is missing out on a normal childhood.
When baby Tina reveals that she’s - ta-da! - a top secret agent for Baby Corp on a mission to uncover the dark secrets behind Tabitha’s school and its mysterious founder, Dr. Erwin Armstrong (Jeff Goldblum), the Templeton brothers reunite in unexpected ways, leading them to re-evaluate the meaning of family and discover what truly matters.
Regarding the film’s dual theatrical and Peacock streaming platform release, McGrath shared with AWN, “It's a crazy time to release a film right now. Part of the joy [of watching films] is sitting in an audience and hearing the laughter, and we can't always do that in today's times. But I feel grateful for how Universal handled the movie, not only having it in theaters, which was what the movie was made for, but also having the option for kids to see it from home. When you make a film, you want the widest release possible. And I think it was great that you could see it in theaters or in the privacy of your own home since kids weren't vaccinated yet.”

According to Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, today’s release extends the fun beyond the film with all-new exclusive bonus features sure to get the entire family into the ‘back-to-school’ mode.
These features include a brand-new animated short, deleted scene, gag reel, interactive Creative Experiment Labs, Boss Baby Art Class and more.
“Kids can watch their favorite parts over again, and they'll have the opportunity to do that with the DVD,” McGrath notes. “Plus, there's eight hidden baby ninjas in the movie, which you might not be able to find watching it one time. So, the DVD allows kids to look through the scenes and see if they can find the eight hidden baby ninjas!”
