New York City-based Animation Collective, Inc., has appointed Aundrea DeFur to the newly created position of head of production. She will oversee the studio's production slate and manage client relationships.
DeFur was associate producer for Warner Bros. Animation's OZZIE AND DRIX, where she managed a staff of more than 25 animators during the show's 13-episode premier season. Prior to WB, DeFur was post-production supervisor at Sony Pictures Entertainment for 13 episodes of MEN IN BLACK, before being promoted to production manager for 19 episodes of JACKIE CHAN ADVENTURES. Early in her career, DeFur worked at the William Morris Agency in the motion picture literature department.
Animation Collective ceo Larry Schwarz said DeFur is needed to help with the studio's several pilots and series in different stages of production for multiple clients. "Her experience managing large-scale productions and series for some of the top names in the animation business will be an invaluable asset to our company and will enable us to expand our production slate."
