The highly anticipated ‘Justice League’ re-cut may be marred by an alternate Knightmare scenario in which Mera wields the trident.
A new week, a new Amber Heard scare! Multiple outlets are now reporting that the blonde actress everyone loves to hate will be taking on a larger role in the upcoming Snyder Cut of Justice League. Following the decidedly negative reaction to news that Heard may be boarding the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise ship, this may not sit well. Especially considering her extra screen time would mean a diminished role for Jason Momoa. She took our jerbs!
If this elevated role indeed comes to pass, it would portray Mera as the wielder of Aquaman’s trident. According to insider Daniel Richtman, “In the Snyder Cut, Mera has the trident in the Knightmare future and is taking Aquaman’s spot [in the Justice League].” This replacement certainly would be a nightmare. Back in October it was reported that Snyder Cut shoots were indeed underway with Ben Affleck, Ray Fisher, Amber Heard, and Jared Leto. This means Heard will be back in some capacity, but time will tell just how much. It would be a shame if the highly anticipated re-cut of JL was marred by DC’s number one undesirable mer-lady.
