So i've been an illustrator for years and i'm trying to get into animation. I really would like to do a sequence like this (time:2.09)

I know it'll take a while, and im planning to do it in after effects. I'm just wondering how you guys would tackle this and how long it would take you? I know these are real rookie questions but I'm trying my best to learn as much as possible!
