Sometime in the late '70s, early '80s I saw an animated short involving a living cake that climbs the Empire State Building, ala King Kong, and falls to its doom. Except just at the end, it opens one eye (I think) and quietly utters its signature cry, "Eh-eh-eh" (low pitch, high pitch, low pitch; something like G-C#-G#, though that's very approximate and doesn't do the voicing justice).
Does this ring any bells? Anyone know the provenance of this short film? Super-mega-bonus points if anyone knows where to find it and see it again. I've looked, literally for decades, and haven't been able to find any reference to it, or even anyone who's ever heard of it. Any thoughts on tracking it down?
All these years later, the little "Eh-eh-eh" cry comes out of me now and again, and explanations just don't cut it. I need to see this again and hopefully be able to share it with friends.
