Okay so the title itself may not be the best way to explain my topic, but I will do my best here if you can all bare with me.
So I am in my third year of an Animation Degree and I decided to do my Dissertation on the Episodic Format in Animation. It would go along the lines of showing how successful this can be in telling stories and how effective the format would be at engaging audiences.
I am mainly struggling to find people who agree that this format is great way to being consistant, but more importantly, those who disagree with this, or at least those who can see the pros and cons of this.
I know that there are two different types: Procedural and Serialised. But finding the pros and cons to both has been quite the task thus far. It may also be subject to people that Episodic is different from Story Arcs and I would like to research this idea more also, yet I am still coming up sort of good reference material.
If anyone can add some insight to this discussion, I'd be really interested in your personal opinions on the topic. Also if you know of any articles, books, journals, podcasts, interviews, etc that talk about this, I'd be eternally grateful.
Wow, this is very interesting
Wow, this is very interesting! I really like the way you talk about it. I think you definitely need to go to the educational sphere :)
After all, not many are able to explain such terms so succinctly and clearly.
