Our company is headed by a Doctor of Psychology who is an expert in sales but not animation. As a company we have started to offer animated videos. We are experts at designing the script but not the animation aspect.
We need someone with a lot of knowledge relating to Animation to be on-hand to answer our questions pertaining to animation.
We will pay you for this role. Which would generally consist of giving you the details of the project. You then inform us how someone would normally complete the task (what program they use, how difficult it is etc), how long it would take and what would be a reasonable fee for the project.

I'm in a similar situation. Though I'll be the head of my studio in the dual roles of owner and lead writer. I'm niether an animator nor a business person, but knowing my limitations, I know when to seek out people who have the skills I lack. I'd go on, but I don't want to hyjack your thread alex.
