Hello,
I will truly appreciate your advice for the following-
I am an animator and illustrator (not a game maker, nor a programmer) willing to create simple "virtual toys", like a simple cartoon spider that any clicking on one of his legs will result in moving that specific, clicked leg/hand, including some sound effects, and changes of the spider's face gestures(for each leg move, he makes a different face gesture)
Until now, I was able to achieve such a goal by creating several animations (short videos) of the different legs and face movements and putting those sections one after the other to create a long video that I was able to put in a place like youtube, where the annotation option can create such a "virtual toy" (the annotations are placed on the legs, so when clicking on the annotation on a specific leg/hand, the videos jumps to the section of that leg's movement etc')
I was wondering which method is preferred to be able to create such a "virtual toy" as a stand alone-
Will it be better to use some kind of a game making software for non programmers like me (the simplest the better) or to use a software that enables me to produce an interactive video (now it is possible to export an interactive video in html5 while using a similar method to annotations, and using several videos that build one long video that you can jumps from one point to the other, interactively)
As a non programmer, my current options are that I can create video animations (even with alpha channel) and images (png etc') and look for the best option- the interactive video one or the game creation one?
I will be very thankful for your thoughts and advice for the preferred way to go.
:)
Thank you, in advanced, for any advice.
Kind regards.
