[B]NYC Animation Block Party 2007 Summerfest :D

This year, the New York's ANIMATION BLOCK PARTY 2007 SUMMERFEST will be the best yet. Sponsored by Adobe, Animation Magazine, Autodesk, Boink, Crumpler, Custom Flix, L Magazine, Pair, ToonBoom and Without a Box, NY's Animation Block Party is now open for worldwide submissions.

This year's summer festival will run from July 28-30 all over Brooklyn, NY. There will be almost $30,000 worth of prizes up for grabs at ABP Summerfest, including winning filmmaker copies of Adobe After Effects, Boinx I-Stop Motion, Toon Boom Studio, Autodesk’s Sketchbook, designer bags from Crumpler, subscriptions from Animation Magazine and big student production grants.

All genres are welcome to submit, ranging from stop motion to experimental, ABP loves it all. There are ten award categories, including original design, computer animation, narrative short, under minute movie, personal documentary and more. ABP is also offering an opportunity to fund animator's Public Service Announcement films for the entire festival season.

Royer Studios, a Los Angeles-based company specializing in video production and the development of educational programs is seeking to hire and train animators to facilitate its Animation Program in schools throughout Los Angeles County. FREE TRAINING. The next program cycle will run from January 22nd to mid-June, 2007.

Preferred skill set of applicants:
1. Experience in facilitating programs/activities with teenagers.
2. Ability to tell a short story
3. Above average to advanced drawing skills

Compensation minimum $35 hour. Must own or have access to a car.
