ANIMATION CO-OP V.O. KARAOKE NIGHT
Voice actors interested in participating in an Animation Co-op V.O. "karaoke" night, should contact Kevin & Moon (mailbox@animationcoop.org). We plan to host this as a casual event at our house in late August or early September, similar to this. Participants should be game for demoing their repertoire at an open mike, and perhaps even taking requests. Fun under the stars with an open bar! :-)
NEW RESOURCES
The "Resources" section of The Animation Co-op website has been updated with the following individuals: voice artist Jeanette Parsadanian, entertainment attorney Paul Husband, entertainment attorney Frank Lunn. Check 'em out at http://www.animationcoop.org/people.htm, and be sure to get yourself listed. Artists, animators, actors, managers... we take all comers. Get your name out there! :-)
NEW PROJECTS

The Animation Co-op's online project database has been updated with some new projects, including Ace Moon's "Along The Way" and an untitled work by MJ Lallo. We've cleared out all project listings prior to April, so if you've been removed and would like to be re-listed (or if you have a new project to post), follow the specs on http://www.animationcoop.org/projects.htm. Please note that projects with informative, easily navigable websites tend to get a greater quantity and quality response than those without. :-)
SAME OLD LINKS
Moon: "Gee, Kevin... I wonder why more members don't take advantage of the FREE "Links" page provided by The Animation Co-op?" (http://www.animationcoop.org/links.htm)
Kevin: "Beats me, Moon. I guess sending in that 100x56 pixel GIF must be a fairly daunting task."
SUPPORT NET NEUTRALITY!
If you haven't heard of The COPE Act, you will. It stands to have a fairly significant impact on independent artists and filmmakers who traffic their work on the internet. This link is a bit alarmist, but perhaps rightly so. Worth checking out. Here's what Common Cause has to say: http://www.commoncause.org/site/pp.asp?c=dkLNK1MQIwG&b=1539607. Thanks to our friends at Animation Nation for making us aware of this consequential piece of legislation!
THE BRITISH FINALLY CALL FOR SELF-RULE! ;-)
Just in time for Independence Day, Adam Comiskey invites all Animation Co-op members to join him in petitioning the British government to introduce a system of self-classification for video artists, who are currently required to obtain classification from the BBFC (unlike artists in other media). For more details, check out: http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/SelfClassification/
