Perfectionism.

I am making a first effort at finish short film that has been 2 years in the making.

I am second guessing myself as to what adds production value that I can still add in the 11th hour before I start what I consider to be my final render.

Currently my big additions have been improved lighting and little things to catch the eye and draw it away from things that arenot able to change in the time alloted to finish. I am also doing a last animation pass.

Does anyone out there have their own special calculus on; what goes, stays and can be squeezed in? How do you make decisions on this stuff?

In the past I just worked harder and longer, but that was because I had little or no administrative support on things I could do in my sleep.

Now, I am fighting to make something more fun on my own dime, and its harder to make the calls....especially with other projects call for my time. :)

Just, a topic on which I spend my days and wonder how other people respond to it in their own work. :)
