Be the first kid on your block to have your very own Julian Phillips cartoon concept! These great 'ideas' for animated episodic series are perfect for the struggling beginner working in Flash who wants a winner for his portfolio (or to sell), or the successful animation studio looking for something really keen-o! That's right! Your ideas are fat, slow, dumpy, boring and tedious---but MY ideas are fabulous, stunning, and will make us both rich! And why not? Here's just a sample of what's available from an award-winning, produced and slightly whacked writer:
TEX THE EXPERT--a youngster in Texas has access to the Universal Encyclopedia of All Knowledge through a mind-portal at his Uncle's observatory that was a gift from aliens, and uses it's amazing contents to solve problems for all them red-neck kids in the Lone Star State.
ASTRO CHEFS--how about a group of kids at a cullinary academy on a moon base? Learning to prepare dinner for alien ambassadors is more fun in a low-gravity environment!
SURF ZOMBIES--what if your favorite surfing spot was haunted? Sea-serpents, mermaids, pirate-ghosts, ship-wrecks, fallen meteors and tales of the vast Pacific Ocean are no problem for these teens from California. (pilot script available for this one)
THE GHANDIVILLE EXPERIMENTS--what could be worse than to be a test-robot at a government facility where non-lethal or 'non-violent' weapons are designed and given a try-out? These two robots just can't win, as the geeks at this funky lab test all kinds of non-lethal weapons on them for effectiveness. Everything from foam spray, to water cannons, to sonic energy beams, to sleeping gas, is thrown at these 'bots--but that doesn't mean they have to like it!

Just thought you should know that you'll never win anyone over by talking down to them and telling them that they are worthless without you.
And HELLO!!!??? what are you thinking posting all of your "keen-o" ideas online so anyone on the planet can swipe them?

Oh, this is real? I thought it was a hilarious joke. If it was, it would have struck the perfect balance of borderline sarcasm.
Actually, yes, a bit of sarcasm there, utilized as a marketing technique too often. Thing is, you put your stuff out there, you more-or-less take that attitude with you, if only to withstand the legion of critics and rejections, failures, etc. As far as stealing my ideas, I have never bothered with that much. I have more complete descriptions of these plots, with characters, possible episodes, settings, and even a complete half-hour script for 'Surf Zombies'. In general I take it as complimentary if someone rips me off for something of mine in that way; I also have always felt that people who want to do business with artists and writers are like evryone else, and have no interest in a law-suit, but may take that extra step to get the rights to something like this in an up-front way. Otherwise, fat, slow and boring is not what I really meant; your ideas are your own, and ideas in general are free as the wind--they are more like glass bandits, or colorful soap bubbles, or moths, or maybe strange fish.
