going rate for animation writers and storyboarders?

Hi'yall, whats the going hourly rate for animation writers and storyboarders?

How long can one expect the writing and storyboarding of a 7 minute animation to take? What are the timelines expected in the industry?

This always comes down to some simple math and understanding of value as it applies to your time.

A safe number is about $1000 a week.
Or $200 a day for a 5 day week--so a 8 hour work day would have the rate at $25/hour.

7 minutes of script might only day a day to type out--maybe two, and about a week or two to storyboard.

These rates vary HUGELY depending on the needs of the client and the budget that is negotiated.

Thanks Ken, this is $200hr ballpark for writing AND also for storyboarding?

What would you offer if they were beginning writers doing their first animation?
