I posted this on another forum. Hope it's okay to put it here as well.

We're doing a short environmental video in support of the Ballona Wetlands on the West side of Los Angeles. It's a critical area and there are some monstrous health and safety issues involving a high-density housing development they're planning on building over a massive methane gas reservoir which is under the wetlands.
We need a short sequence illustrating how the Gas Company pumps natural gas at extremely high pressure into the oil field that underlies the area. There are no tanks or barriers down there and the gas simply flows out into the geological formations. (Yes, it does sound insane but it's true.) A lot of this gas escapes and could cause some serious damage if something were to set it off.
It's all being done pro bono -- but the people involved are all professional. I'm an EMMY nominated director and we have a good camera and editing crew, etc.
If you're interested please respond here and I'll send you some more detail.
Thanks.
I'm in.

Here is a little test for the factory's model. I thought it would be nice to post it here so people can make comments on it, and also to show everyone that Animation Co-op really works, even internationally... ;)

Thanks for getting on this so fast.

It sure does! Although we don't formally track whether, how, and to what extent people hook up, we routinely receive emails from folks who found a good animator, or are collaborating with a composer, etc... from listing their projects with The Animation Co-op database. A few people have even landed industry jobs (although that is not part of our mission).

Here are some tests I did with a night vision. I was inspired by the lamp posts who existed in the original photo and wanted to see what would it look like if the scene was "shot" at night... :)
But the sun from the daylight scene is still there, all I have to do is turn it on again and shut the lights off.
I've also added a wire fence on the front.

Hello, I am interested in learning more about your project. I think it is fabulous that you are generating awareness about our stewardship with the environment!!!
I too am involved in documentary work using art for social change revolving around environmental isues found right in our own backyard. The Santa Clara River is the last wild river in LA county that hasn't been completely concreted. However it continues to be threatened with housing development etc.
Currently as an artist in the industry of animation, I have chosen to be independent and find collaborative partners who want to streamline education with media that involves youth participation in developing project based learning activites.
I will be involved in a media exchange forum through iVisit technology (web-interactivity) coming up on the 21st of September and perhaps you may like to join with some material that you would like to present.
If you want to know more details please contact Colene at colene@comcast.net or just respond to my reply here in the forum. I just browsed onto this forum and saw your project and felt prompted to get in touch.
cheers,
Colene
