Emily Blunt Joins the Adjustment Bureau

Actress Emily Blunt has the female lead in ADJUSTMENT BUREAU, George Nolfi's sci-fi thriller from the Philip K. Dick short story, per VARIETY.

Matt Damon is the male lead, a smooth-talking congressman whose political future is thrown into doubt by a series of uncontrollable events and the arrival in his life of mysterious ballerina (Blunt).

Nolfi wrote the script, and the film will begin shooting mid-September in New York City. Universal bought the rights at an auction held by Media Rights Capital, the financier and producer of BRUNO.

Stephen Chow Reportedly Out of Green Hornet

Stephen Chow, once the director of THE GREEN HORNET, has apparently dropped out of the project all-together, reports MTV's SPLASH PAGE.

SpoilerTV discovered an open casting call for the part of Kato, which Chow was set to play. Producers say they are looking for a non-specific Asian man to play the part, and he no longer has to have martial arts experience.

The Gotham Group has optioned the rights to biography SECRET IDENTITY: THE FETISH ART OF SUPERMAN'S CO-CREATOR JOE SHUSTER by Craig Yoe, per VARIETY.

The move comes just days after the heirs of Superman co-creator Jerome Siegel lost a lawsuit against Warner Bros. Yoe's book was published earlier this year by Abrams ComicArts.

The project is now in an open-writing assignment. The rights are controlled by producer Jonathan Shestack.

The story follows a colorful, borderline alcoholic astronaut called Heath Huston, a Texasn who works as a fear agent whose mission is to destroy threats to planet Earth.
