Languages & The Media is a biennial international conference dedicated to the subject of language transfer in a changing media landscape (Social Networks, digital TV, DVD, cinema and theater). The conference themes include innovations and latest developments in dubbing, subtitling, voice-over and translation for the media. Language practitioners, including translators and interpreters, and all those who produce, market, or distribute audiovisual materials need to discuss the implications of the change that is happening around us. The 9th Languages & The Media conference is the ideal place to identify current and future trends, to network and to learn about the many new opportunities offered by translation in multilingual communities in rapidly changing technological environments. The conference is accompanied by an exhibition where vendors and manufacturers of language services and technology products are represented. The conference language is English.
