THQ Inc. today announced a reorganization of the company's management team and business units in support of THQ's focused product strategy. In order to more directly align the organization with its previously announced strategy, THQ has formed three new business units: 1) Core Games; 2) Kids, Family and Casual Games; and 3) Online, and has promoted key executives to manage each of these units. Each unit manager will report directly to THQ President/CEO Brian Farrell.

Sci Fi, Will Smith Have Unfinished Business

Sci Fi Channel has ordered crime pilot UNFINISHED BUSINESS, according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER.

Overbrook Entertainment will produce with Will Smith, James Lassiter and Ken Stovitz exec producing. The drama will be about an ex-cop who starts seeing visions of memories from the recently-dead, compelling him to help wronged souls resolve unfinished business.

Sally Robinson is set to write the pilot with Mikael Salomon to direct. Robinson was nominated for an Emmy for IRON JAWED ANGELS and Salomon won an Emmy for BAND OF BROTHERS.

Porchlight Names New CFO, Senior VP

PorchLight Ent. has appointed Courtney Colman to the company post of CFO and Don Mirisch as SVP.

As the chief financial officer, Colman will be responsible for overseeing PorchLight's finance, accounting, human resources and IT departments. Prior to joining PorchLight, Colman was exec VP of finance at First Look Studios, where she oversaw the finance, accounting and participation departments. Before First Look Studios, Colman held the position of CFO of Lieberman Research Worldwide, a market research company specializing in the entertainment sector.

Ringling College Adds Business BA

Ringling College of Art and Design has launched a new BA program -- Business of Art & Design.

The new BA course, The Business of Art & Design, aims to help graduates understand business, and how better to run businesses if they strike out on their own. The program contains echoes of Harvard Business School. To the knowledge of the college, there is no comparable course among other art and design schools.

Ringling's major courses grew from six to 14 in the past three years and the school boasts an 85 percent graduation rate.
