Sci Fi Channel has ordered crime pilot UNFINISHED BUSINESS, according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER.
Overbrook Entertainment will produce with Will Smith, James Lassiter and Ken Stovitz exec producing. The drama will be about an ex-cop who starts seeing visions of memories from the recently-dead, compelling him to help wronged souls resolve unfinished business.
Sally Robinson is set to write the pilot with Mikael Salomon to direct. Robinson was nominated for an Emmy for IRON JAWED ANGELS and Salomon won an Emmy for BAND OF BROTHERS.
Both will also serve as exec producers. Overbrook head Heather Courtney will oversee production. Universal Cable Productions will produce.
The project is a blend of Sci Fi's current brand and their desire to get into more reality-based genre dramas.
BUSINESS and backdoor pilots THE PHANTOM and RIVERWORLD are set to join the network soon.
