Warner Bros. Sets J. Edgar, Extremely Loud, Journey 2, Gravity Dates

Clint Eastwood's J. EDGAR will debut in a limited run on Wednesday, Nov. 9th and go wide on Friday, Nov. 11th. Leonardo DiCaprio stars as the infamous first FBI director. Method Studios is providing the vfx.

Stephen Daldry's EXTREMELY LOUD & INCREDIBLY CLOSE will arrive in a limited run on Dec. 25th and will expand wide on Jan. 20, 2012. The Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock drama tells interlocking stories revolving around a mysterious key and how it is connected to a man killed in the 9/11 attacks. Method Studios provides the visual effects.

JOURNEY 2: THE MYSTERIOUS ISLAND has been pushed from Jan. 27, 2012 to Feb. 10. Josh Hutcherson returns for the JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH sequel with series newcomers Vanessa Hudgens and Dwayne Johnson. Brad Peyton (CATS & DOGS: THE REVENGE OF KITTY GALORE) is the director. Digital Domain, Rising Sun Pictures, Method Studios, Scanline VFX, The Third Floor and Trixter Film are the visual effects houses on the 3-D project.

Alfonso Cuaron's sci-fi epic GRAVITY will float into theaters on Nov. 21, 2012. Starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney, the film finds a female astronaut stranded alone in space after an accident. Framestore, 4DMax and The Third Floor are handling the vfx.
