Known for its free-to-play platform fighting game ‘MultiVersus,’ the developer will continue to be run by co-founders Tony Huynh, head of Player First Games, and Chris White, head of technology.
Warner Bros. Games has acquired Player First Games, known for its free-to-play platform fighting game MultiVersus. Co-founders Tony Huynh, head of Player First Games, and Chris White, head of technology, will continue to run the studio, but will now report to Carlos Barbosa, vice president and studio head of Warner Bros. Games San Diego.
Developed in a partnership between Player First Games and Warner Bros. Discovery, MultiVersus features an ever-expanding roster of popular characters based on Warner Bros. Discovery franchises. The current roster of characters includes Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, Black Adam, The Joker, Shaggy, Velma, Rick Sanchez, Morty Smith, and many more. Jack (Samurai Jack) and Beetlejuice (Beetlejuice) join the group as part of the game’s Season 2.

MultiVersus is available now as a free download for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 consoles, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One consoles, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), with full cross-play and cross-progression support.
