Veteran vfx supervisor John Dykstra will direct SUPER ZERO, an adaptation of Jeff Lemire's graphic novel TALES FROM THE FARM, reports Variety. Rhythm & Hues Studios is the production company with Steven Gilder and Alec Chorches on as producers. John Carr has written the script.
The story follows a 10-year-old orphan who goes to live on his uncle's farm in a small town where he befriends the gas station owner, who once played pro hockey. The duo soon gets wrapped up in the world of superheroes and aliens.
Dykstra won Oscars for his vfx work on STAR WARS and SPIDER-MAN 2.
