The studio’s upcoming programming line-up, which runs October 17-20, includes a trio of franchise panels, featuring celebrity guests and two popup shop experiences: the Mugiwara Store and Toei Animation X Dim Mak.
Toei Animation returns to New York Comic Con this year with a triple celebration of Dragon Ball, One Piece, and Digimon. For NYCC 2024, the studio will spotlight the three franchises with a mix of celebrity guest panels and fan experiences.
The anime studio’s exhibit booth (#2635) will feature two pop-up shops: Toei Animation X Dim Mak Pop-Up Shop, and Mugiwara Store Pop-Up Shop, each featuring a curated collection of One Piece merchandise.
Toei Animation’s NYCC 2024 panel schedule kicks-off with the ‘Dragon Ball DAIMA Special Panel’ on Day One, October 17, at 12:45 pm on the Empire Stage. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Dragon Ball, Toei Animation will share details of the creation of Dragon Ball DAIMA. Host Monica Rial (English voice of Bulma) will welcome Akio Iyoku (executive producer of Dragon Ball DAIMA) and other special guests for the panel. An encore screening of the premiere episode of Dragon Ball DAIMA (with English subtitles) will be presented before the panel.
On October 17 at 3:30 pm in Room 409, Toei Animation will present the “Digimon Adventure Panel.” Toei Animation welcomes back Hiromi Seki, Digimon luminary and the “Mother of Sunday Morning Anime,” who produced both the original Digimon Adventure and Digimon Adventure 02 episodic series. Led by Host Justin Rojas, Seki will discuss the franchise and the future of Digimon Adventure.
On Day Two, October 18, at 12:45 pm on the Empire Stage, Toei Animation will present the “One Piece Panel.” Toei Animation will welcome producer Ryuta Koike, series director Satoshi Ito, and creative director Masayuki Takagi, the team behind the series. Led by Jacki Jing, the team will discuss the the series with English dub cast members Colleen Clinkenbeard (voice of Luffy) and Christopher Sabat (voice of Zoro).
