TAAFI Introduces Animation Arts Maarket

Ahead of its third iteration, the Toronto Animation Arts Festival International announces the launch of the Animation Arts Maarket, a new space for artists and attendees to talk and buy art.

The Toronto Animation Arts Festival International (TAAFI) continues to build on it’s growing success with the announcement of the third iteration, June 14th 16th at Corus Quay and George Brown Waterfront Campus on the edge of Lake Ontario! On top of hosting animation arts feature and shorts screenings, skills workshops, masterclasses, talks and panels TAAFI, continues to expand it's ambitious offering.

New to 2014, and in response to outrageous demand from our growing audience, TAAFI launches the Animation Arts Maarket, a space for artists and attendees to “...hang out, talk art, buy art, sketch, and be nerdy” according to TAAFI Chair Barnabas Wornoff. “The Animation Arts Maarket will play host to wide range of professional artists and animation students, featuring

loads of original artwork for show and sale, book and toy vendors, hardware and software demonstrations, as well as all important celebrity signings and sightings.”

Animation arts students, artists, schools, studios and vendors all are invited to register their space at special early bird rates until March 1, 2014. For more information on the Animation Arts Maarket please visit taafi.com/maarket.

TAAFI is also creating the first ever TAAFI Art Book; a unique opportunity for companies, artists and students to get noticed by the growing industry and public audience. New artists will enjoy the profile, professional artists will gain new fans, studios can connect with artists from across the GTA, while retailers can connect with an engaged marketplace.  The beautifully bound and printed TAAFI Art Book will be available in limited print format during TAAFI 2014, and electronically after the event, where it will be distributed to our partners, supporters and industry as well as the full TAAFI community.

Exhibitors at the TAAFI Animation Arts Maarket receive a complimentary halfpage space in the TAAFI Art Book as well as their own full colour copy, and full and halfpage spaces are available to nonexhibitors as well. Find out how you can be in the TAAFI Art Book by visiting taafi.com/artbook.
