Syfy appointed Deborah Bart to the newly created marketing position of Vice President, Production.

NEW YORK – Reflecting the rapid growth of Syfy’s programming, digital and new business initiatives, the channel named Deborah Bart to the newly created marketing position of Vice President, Production, it was announced by Michael Engleman, Executive Vice President, Marketing and Global Brand Strategy, to whom Bart will report.
Based in Syfy’s New York office, Bart will manage all on-going production activities in support of Syfy and Chiller Marketing, interacting with scheduling, program development, digital, public relations, sales, business development and the International departments, as well as developing and overseeing channel-wide operational processes aimed at creating synergy between marketing and all other key areas of the business.

Prior to joining Syfy and Chiller, Bart spent the past six months as the Upfront Production Director for Oxygen. Prior to that, she spent 14 years at Nickelodeon, overseeing creative operations/ project management for on-air promos, off-air/brand creative, consumer products creative, advertising and event marketing.
She began her career with ChromaCopy International before moving on to become Manager of the Turner Home Entertainment Licensing and Merchandising Creative Department, where she worked on both domestic and international products for Hanna-Barbera Cartoons and Turner Classic Movies.
Bart is the mother of one son as well as CEO & Founder of Adoptimism, a social enterprise that assists families with the domestic adoption process.
