The Writers Guild of America, East and West have announced the nominations for outstanding achievement in television writing during the 2003 season. The big animation winner was THE SIMPSONS with three scripts nominated including Matt Selman for "The Dad Who Knew Too Little," J. Stewart Burns for "Moe Baby Blues" and Michael Price for "My Mother The Carjacker." FOX series weren't finished with THE SIMPSONS though. Tony Gama-Lobo and Rebecca May received nods for KING OF THE HILL's "Reborn To Be Wild" and Patric M. Verrone for FUTURAMA's "The Sting." The fifth and only kid-targeted nominee went to Steven Banks for THE ADVENTURES OF JIMMY NEUTRON, BOY GENIUS's "Rescue Jet Fusion." The WGA screen nominations will be announced on Jan. 22 at 9:00 am.
