Ryan Adams Named Vice President At Cartoon Network and Adult Swim

Ryan Adams has been promoted to the newly-created position of vice president, program and schedule operations at Cartoon Network and Adult Swim, it was announced today by Stacy Isenhower, senior vice president of programming and scheduling for Cartoon Network and Boomerang.

Ryan Adams has been promoted to the newly-created position of vice president, program and schedule operations at Cartoon Network and Adult Swim, it was announced today by Stacy Isenhower, senior vice president of programming and scheduling for Cartoon Network and Boomerang.  In this expanded role, Adams will serve as the strategic scheduling lead for all program and on-air promotion operations for Cartoon Network, Adult Swim and Boomerang, helping to identify new promotional opportunities and programming formats for recent changes/expansions within each network.  He also will continue to act as the primary liaison between the networks, their on-air departments, Turner Broadcasting's network operations and Turner's digital media technologies division.  Adams is based in Atlanta and will continue to report directly to Isenhower.

"In the years that I have worked with Ryan, he has consistently demonstrated expertise in his field," said Isenhower.  "In addition to building collaboration into our promo placement strategy, his most recent efforts to revamp network break structures have shown remarkable success.  We look ahead to his continued achievement as we move forward with our new programming formats and on-air network re-facing."

Adams first joined Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. in 1996, working on the floor as a news coordinator for CNN's Headline News (HLN).  Two years later, he transferred to broadcast operations as a shift supervisor for entertainment networks Cartoon Network, Turner Classic Movies and Boomerang, where he helped manage on-air quality of their respective domestic feeds.  Later, as a network supervisor, he wrote standard operating procedures adopted and utilized by the operations team.  In 2000, promoted to sales operations manager, Adams assumed responsibility for the execution of sponsored promotions for TBS and TNT, management of commercial inventory for TNT, and cross promotions for all Turner Entertainment Networks.  In 2003, he was named director of programming & scheduling within the Strategic Operations group, covering Cartoon Network, Adult Swim and Boomerang.  To date, his role has included overseeing network promo priorities and directing strategic roll-out and scheduling of all on-air creative: from promos, packaging and branding to interstitials, "lower-third" material, squeeze credits and PSAs.

Adams earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Telecommunication Arts from the University of Georgia in Athens.
