The Oscar winning VFX supervisor and filmmaker, known for his work on ‘Interstellar’ and ‘Inception,’ as well as co-founding DNEG in 1998, follows fellow co-founders Matt Holben and Alex Hope to the Canada, UK and India-based studio.
Veteran visual effects supervisor and filmmaker Paul Franklin has joined beloFX as creative director. In addition for his Oscar-winning work on Interstellar and Inception, he also supervised VFX for Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy. Other credits include Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Venom, and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.
With a 35-year career in visual effects, Franklin previously spent 26 years at DNEG, a company he co-founded in 1998. Now at beloFX, he reunites with DNEG co-founders Matt Holben and Alex Hope.

As creative director, Franklin will play a key role in shaping new opportunities for collaboration with directors, filmmakers and beloFX’s studio clients. Additionally, he will provide creative guidance and support for all shows and their teams.
