New episodes follow Dora and Boot on grand adventures overcoming obstacles and helping others; new season streams September 13 then heads to Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. September 16.
Paramount+ today announced the upcoming September 13, Season 2 premiere of the original animated preschool series, Dora, in the U.S., Canada, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria; additional dates for international markets are coming soon. Produced by Nickelodeon Animation, the new episodes follow everyone’s favorite bilingual explorer, Dora, as she continues her epic adventures through the mystical and magical rainforest. The streamer also shared a new trailer and “Swiper” Music Video; check them out below.
Dora also makes its linear debut September 16, premiering on Nickelodeon Monday through Thursday for three consecutive weeks at 11 a.m. (ET/PT) and on the Nick Jr. channel at 5 p.m. (ET/PT). Season 1 is now streaming on Paramount+.
The new season follows Dora and her best monkey friend, Boots, as they encounter new challenges, overcome tricky obstacles, and explore new fantastical territories. Kids join the duo’s journeys meeting new friends and helping others. Kids learn lessons through catchy songs and laughter.

The series stars Diana Zermeño as Dora; Asher Colton Spence as Boots; Anairis Quiñones as Map and The Fiesta Trio’s Armadillo; Marc Weiner as Swiper; Mike Smith Rivera as Papi; Maria Canals-Barrera as Abuela; Danny Burstein as Grumpy Old Troll and The Fiesta Trio’s Frog and Marmoset; Katarina Sky as Backpack; Donovan Monzon-Sanders as Tico; Tandi Fomukong as Isa; Quintún Muñoz as Benny; Chris Gifford as Big Red Chicken; and Kathleen Herles, the original voice of Dora the Explorer, as Mami. Additional guest stars include Taboo as Quickatoo and Kate del Castillo as Ale the Alebrije. Dascha Polanco (Orange is the New Black, In the Heights) joins season two as La Reina.

Gifford, Walsh Valdes, and Rich Magallanes are executive producers. Henry Lenardin-Madden is co-executive producer, and Alejandro Bien-Willner is story editor. Marielle Kaar is executive in charge of production for Nickelodeon.
