Just hours after Mickey Mouse entered the public domain, Nightmare Forge Games has announced the upcoming horror game Infestation 88, which features a terrifying new version of the beloved Disney character. In the gruesome game, players are hunted by a dirty, disintegrating Steamboat Willie, who seems to have stepped out of an alternate-universe Five Nights at Freddy’s.

According to the developers, the game is a 1-4 player survival experience set in the 1980s, when a rodent outbreak morphs “into something far more sinister.”

Check out the announcement trailer for the creeptastic, copyright-free horror game now:

Alongside Mickey and Minnie, Tigger also entered the public domain yesterday, so expect more eyebrow-raising project announcements soon (as well as letters from Disney’s lawyers).

A release date for Infestation 88 has not yet been announced, although you can add it to your Steam Wishlist now.
