Nickelodeon’s new take on the classic 'Peter Rabbit' property, produced by Ireland’s Brown Bag Films, leads the animation nominees with eight nods; other top animation nominees include Disney’s ‘Sofia the First,’ the Hub Network’s hybrid ‘The Aquabats! Super Show!’ and Nick’s ‘Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness.’
The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences today announced the nominees for the 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.
Nickelodeon’s new take on the classic Peter Rabbit property, produced by Ireland’s Brown Bag Films, leads the animation nominees with eight nods, and Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards will be presented on June 20 to series background designer Eddie Gribbin, storyboarder Marten Johnmark and production designer Stephen Robinson.
Other top animation nominees include Disney’s Sofia the First and Hub Network’s hybrid The Aquabats! Super Show! with six nominations each, and Nick’s Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness, with five nominations. The puppet classic Sesame Street has 15 nominations.
Additional Creative Arts awards for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation will be given to: Ernie Gilbert, Character Design for T.U.F.F. Puppy (Nickelodeon); Jose Lopez, Character Design, and Yasuhiro Motoda, Character Animator for Transformers Prime Beast Hunters (Hub); Jennifer Oxley, Production Design for Peg + Cat (PBS); Christopher Voy, Color for Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Cartoon Network).
