Nickelodeon Latin America celebrates its 10th anniversary by preparing a big celebration with special programming from Dec. 26, 2006, through Jan. 28, 2007. An entire month of celebration begins with "The First Episodes" of Nick's favorite shows; "Birthday Specials," including the most incredible festivities with Nick characters; "The Week of 10 Non-Stop Episodes;" "Nick Birthday Gifts: 10 New Episodes;" Nick Movies; "Invasion of 30 hours of Nicktoons," and many more gifts for children through www.MundoNick.com.
"In the past 10 years, Nickelodeon Latin America has characterized itself by being close to children, constructing worlds and magic stories with them through endearing characters like SpongeBob Squarepants, Dora the Explorer, The Fairly Oddparents and Jimmy Neutron," said Tatiana Rodriguez, vp of programming and creative strategy for Nickelodeon Latin America. "Celebrating this 10th anniversary is a milestone that makes us very proud."
The festivities begin Dec. 26, from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm with "The First Episodes," recalling the beginnings of favorite Nick characters from series such as RUGRATS, ROCKO'S MODERN LIFE, DOUG, CLARISSA EXPLAINS IT ALL, THE ADVENTURES OF PETE & PETE and HEY, ARNOLD!
"Birthday Specials" will air Dec. 27, from 2:30 pm to 7:30 pm in a celebration lasting six hours with the best parties, gifts, cakes and exciting moments with Nick characters who have celebrated birthdays. Be prepared to see it all, from complications in organizing the best party to shopping for gifts, to choosing the tastiest cake and even plans to let the party go on and on.
Every week will be filled with the best episodes of each show and the best moments of characters such as SpongeBob Squarepants, Mr. Blink, Jenny the Teenage Robot, The Xs and Danny Phantom, all appearing in "The Week of 10 Non-Stop Episodes," starting on Jan. 1-5, from 2:30 pm to 8:00 pm. There will also be new festivities the following week with various new episodes premiering January 12, at 7:00 pm beginning with "Nick Birthday Gifts: 10 New Episodes." Each day two new episodes of DRAKE & JOSH, NED'S DECLASSIFIED SCHOOL SURVIVAL GUIDE, DANNY PHANTOM, SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS and THE XS, will be featured adding up to 10 brand new episodes per day.
Since 10 years is a great start, Nick found a way to show impressive changes in that time period by allowing viewers to see how babies change throughout the years! Nick will begin a recap of the best moments and unforgettable memories for Tommy Pickles, his family and friends in: "The Babies, 10 years later," which will air Dec. 28, from 3:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
As Nick Latin America celebrates its 10th anniversary, BLUE'S CLUES also celebrates 10 years on the air. There will be a double celebration from Dec. 26-29, at 11:00 am with a daily hour of programming featuring this fabulous pup and her fantastic world.
For kids who love movies, Nick will showcase two movies a day with "Nick Movies," the week of Jan. 15-19, starting at 2:30 pm. The programming festivities will culminate on Saturday, Jan. 27-28, from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm, when Nick's animated characters take to the screen in "Invasion of Nicktoons!" for a full 30 hours.
Nickelodeon Latin America will also be offering 10 gift packs for 10 prize-winning kids, in a contest lasting 10 days. To participate, children will have to log on to www.MundoNick.com and find 10 secret clues.
