Nickelodeon Drops ‘Wylde Pak’ Trailer, Cast Additions

Gillian Jacobs and Jon Glaser join the 2D animated comedy series, greenlit from the network’s Intergalactic Shorts Program, which follows the daily life of a blended multigenerational Korean American family, inspired by the lives of co-creators and executive producers Paul Watling and Kyle Marshall; debuts June 6.

Nickelodeon has just dropped an official trailer, key art and voice cast additions for its new 2D animated comedy series, Wylde Pak. Inspired by co-creators and executive producers Paul Watling and Kyle Marshall’s family life, the series follows half siblings Lily and Jack as they learn to navigate blended multigenerational Korean American family dynamics. It debuts June 6.

In the 30-minute premiere episode, “Best Summer Ever?,” Jack and Lily are half-siblings living on opposite ends of the world - until Jack shows up on Lily’s doorstep for the summer. Their arguing sends the family’s new grooming trailer careening through town and they must save their family’s livelihood and Halmoni, who is stuck inside.

Gillian Jacobs (The Bear) joins the show as Alice Kelly, Jack’s biological mom and a world-renowned documentarian taking on adventures abroad; Jon Glaser (Running Point) joins as Chuck, the family’s happy-go-lucky and eccentric neighbor who always seems to know a guy.

Wylde Pak stars Nikki Castillo as Lily Pak and Benjamin Plessala as Jack Wylde. Additional voices include Ben Pronsky as William Wylde; Jee Young Han as Min-Ju Pak; and Jean Yoon as Halmoni.

The show is the second short from Nickelodeon’s Intergalactic Shorts Program to be greenlit into a series. It is co-created by Watling (The Tiger’s Apprentice) and Marshall (The Loud House), who both serve as executive producers alongside Seonna Hong (The Wild Robot) and Conrad Vernon (Shrek). Development and production are overseen by Claudia Spinelli, Senior Vice President, TV Series Animation, Nickelodeon, and Daniel Wineman, Vice President of Original Animation Development. The series is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
