A new animated short will debut each week, beginning with Sanjay Jit’s ‘Gum Remembers’ – watch it here!
Adult Swim SMALLS has announced they’re rolling out new shorts each Friday throughout 2024. The development program, launched in 2018, aims to discover new talent and creative ideas by working with up-and-coming animators on digital shorts that run on YouTube and sometimes on linear as part of the showcase.
March Adult Swim SMALLS shorts include:
March 8 - Gum Remembers by Sanjay Jit. (already released – watch it here!)
Jit is a filmmaker, game developer, and musician who hails from Vancouver, Canada. Previous animated shorts by Sanjay that will debut on Adult Swim SMALLS include Do a Wheelie and Dance Away the Pain.
Upcoming March releases:
March 15 - Best Friend Style by Paul Rhodes.
Rhodes, an animator from Sydney, Australia, is also one half of the animation team Bubble Brain with partner Haein Kim. The two enjoy showcasing a unique style of animation that captures the audience through its storytelling.
March 22 - Sucks to be the Moon by Eric Paperth.
Award-winning comedy writer, director, and founder of Tiny Little Cartoons, Paperth is showrunner of Bleacher Report’s hit scripted comedy series The Champions. He served as writers assistant for (Impractical) Jokers and an (Impractical) Jokers spin-off web series, Look Who’s Joking to Joe Gatto’s Cannoli Productions, now playing on Tru TV Digital. His previous work includes Tobor Family Destroyer. March is a professional 2D After Effects animator and compositor.
March 29 - Little Edy 03 by Felipe Di Poi.
Di Poi is an animator and comedian who hails from Buenos Aires, moving to the U.S. at age nine. He developed his graduate thesis film, The Long and Lonesome Road to Grandma’s, at the Rhode Island School of Design/Brown University dual program. He has won multiple Vimeo staff picks, and his work has previously appeared on Adult Swim. His previous work includes Weird Movies, The Long and Lonesome Road to Grandma’s, and LOL Guy.
