In the lead-up to the 2008 edition of the MIP TV festival, Spanish production company Neptuno Films has announced Disney Channel Latin America has acquired the cable TV rights for their new pre-school series ZOO MIX (104 x 3'), an entertaining exploration of the world of animals.
This acquisition enables Disney Channel Latin America to offer their youngest viewers a high-quality series that will familiarize children with different animal species.
ZOO MIX is designed for pre-school kids, and presents fascinating facts about the lives and habits of animals. Young viewers will discover all kinds of different species, learning about their families, their special abilities and peculiarities, and how they survive in the natural environment.
The narration describes each animal's life in a way that is both fun and scientifically accurate, helping young viewers to understand and respect the natural world.
The Flash-animated series features simple, rounded designs, and tells the story of one species in each episode, focusing on exotic animals from the jungle or the savannah.
As well as closing this deal with Disney Channel Latin America, the top-rated family cable channel across the region, Neptuno Films hopes to close new international sales of the series at the MIP TV festival in Cannes.
The arrival of ZOO MIX is preceded by the success of a whole generation of series from Neptuno, including CONNIE THE COW, SEA PRINCESSES, in co-production with Southern Star and Flamma Films, DOUGIE IN DISGUISE, and KING ARTHUR'S DISASTERS, in co-production with Coolabi and Cake.
The complete series will be ready for delivery and distribution in fall this year.
