Angel Studios Drops ‘The Wingfeather Saga’ Season 3 Teaser

One of the largest crowdfunded 3DCG series in history returns with a new season, titled ‘The Ice Prairies,’ that follows the Igiby family as they get pushed further than ever in their journey to reunite; coming Fall 2025.

Angel Studios has just dropped the exciting Season 3 teaser trailer for its animated adventure series, The Wingfeather Saga. The show, based on the popular book series by Andrew Peterson, is one of the largest crowdfunded 3DCG animated series in history. The studio reports it has raised over $8.2M, from more than 10,000 investors. Season 3 is set to release in Fall 2025.

The series chronicles the adventures and transformations of the Igiby family as they discover secrets of their family history, flee the evil Fangs of Dang, seek their place in the world, and make a stand against the mysterious ruler, Gnag the Nameless. They will need their special gifts and all the love of their noble mother and ex-pirate grandfather to survive the venomous Fangs, sea dragons, flabbits, and (gulp) toothy cows!

Still separated from the events in Dugtown, Season 3 of The Wingfeather Saga, titled "The Ice Prairies," unfolds a chapter of loss, determination, and love, and will push the Igiby family further than ever before. Hope must guide them on their journey to reunite.

Check out a glimpse of what is yet to unfold!

The series’ voice cast includes Billy Boyd (The Lord of the Rings); Jodi Benson (The Little Mermaid); Kevin McNally (Pirates of the Caribbean); Lesley Nicol (Downton Abbey); Eva Whittaker (Wolfwalkers); Matthew Rhys (The AmericansBeautiful Day in the Neighborhood); Kellen Goff (Five Nights at Freddy’s); and Henry Ian Cusick (LostThe 100).

The Wingfeather Saga story, produced with a proprietary cutting-edge Unreal Engine animation pipeline created by the team at Shining Isle Productions, merges traditional CGI with hand-painted 2D environments.
