Kidzmouse Sets Licensing Agreement With Nickelodeon

Nickelodeon has agreed to license several of its popular cartoon properties to niche-market peripheral company KidzMouse. Several new KidzMouse computer mouse designs, sold under the "Nickelodeon by KidzMouse" name and based on Nick cartoon series, will debut in time for the holiday 2002 retail season. KidzMouse, is a "Kid-Friendly Computer Mouse" about half the size of a regular computer mouse with a squeezable "head" that replaces normal mouse buttons. The product is designed to make computers accessible and enjoyable for young computer users. "Nickelodeon continually looks for ways to associate itself with premier providers of educational materials for children. KidzMouse, through its innovative and high-quality products, certainly fits the bill," said Sherice Guillory, senior director of marketing for Nickelodeon. "We look forward to putting SpongeBob, Blue, and many more Nick and Nick Jr. characters into the hands of young computer learners." The first characters to be used are from the series SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS, BLUES CLUES and RUGRATS. DORA THE EXPLORER and LITTLE BILL will be added to the KidzMouse line in 2003. Suggested retail price for the KidzMouse-Nickelodeon mice is $26.95.
