Universal Pictures has hired KICK-ASS standout Chloe Moretz to star in an adaptation of EMILY THE STRANGE, reports Deadline.com.
Starting as a sticker brand, the counterculture character was created by Rob Reger via his Cosmic Debris company in 1993. In 2001, the character made the jump to a Dark Horse comic line.
Dark Horse's Mike Richardson is the producer with Reger and Keith Goldberg exec producing.
