Tippett Studio is a unique company in the visual effects world. Established
in 1983, in Berkeley, California, it has focused exclusively on character
animation and visual effects for major motion pictures. Tippett Studio
currently has a need for an FX Animator. The studio is looking for people
to work collaboratively in a high-end software and production team
environment using particle systems to create natural phenomenon (smoke,
fire, cloth, etc.) and other visual effects. The ideal candidate will have
two or more year's production experience with strong working knowledge of
various software packages including Dynamation and Maya. A background in
art and traditional animation as well as computer programming (C/C++ and
Unix) is preferable. If you are highly motivated to create cool effects and
